Brother's Keeper LLC operates a peer support platform for first responders (law enforcement, fire, EMS, corrections, dispatch). When a licensed Peer Specialist or Keeper activates a Duty to Act safety protocol during a support session, registered administrators receive an urgent SMS notification so they can take immediate action.
Consent is collected exclusively from administrators of the Brother's Keeper platform — never from end-users seeking support. No consent is collected via keyword/text-in, verbal script, paper form, or QR code. All consent is web-based and explicit.
Method 1 — Admin Invitation Acceptance (Web)
When a new administrator accepts their invitation to join the Brother's Keeper platform at https://brothers-keeper.app/AdminSetup, they are presented with an explicit SMS consent checkbox before completing setup. The checkbox reads:
"I consent to receive SMS alerts — I agree to receive urgent safety alert text messages from Brother's Keeper LLC when Duty to Act protocols are activated. These are transactional safety alerts, not marketing messages. Message & data rates may apply. You can opt-out at any time by replying STOP or via account settings. Reply HELP for support."
The "Accept Admin Invitation" button is disabled until this checkbox is checked. No SMS will ever be sent to an administrator who has not actively checked this box.
Method 2 — Admin Dashboard Account Settings (Web)
Existing administrators can manage their SMS consent at any time through the Admin Dashboard → Account Settings page at https://brothers-keeper.app/AdminDashboard. They enter a phone number and must check an SMS consent checkbox before saving. Unchecking the box removes them from the alert list immediately.
All consent records include: timestamp, user ID, IP address (where available), and the exact consent language displayed at time of opt-in.
Message frequency varies based on safety events. Administrators only receive SMS messages when a Duty to Act protocol is activated by a Peer Specialist or Keeper during an active support session. This is not a recurring or scheduled messaging program.
Typical volume: 0–5 messages per month per administrator. Volume may be higher during periods of increased platform activity.
All messages include the brand name and contain only safety-critical content:
Messages are never promotional or marketing in nature. Brother's Keeper LLC does not send advertisements, promotions, or non-safety content via SMS.

Reply HELP to any message for assistance. You will receive: "Brother's Keeper Help: Safety alert system for admins. brotherskeeper2026@outlook.com | Reply STOP to unsubscribe."
